Maran Rabbi Ovadia Yosef Centennial Commemorative Gold Blessing Medal
A sovereign commemorative medallion struck to honor the centennial of the birth of Maran Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, Rishon LeZion (1920–2013). Die-struck in solid deoxidized jeweler's brass under extreme tonnage, the obverse bears a lifelike sculptural portrait of the revered spiritual leader in gold-embroidered rabbinical robes studying the sacred texts, framed by a high-relief laurel and olive wreath and sovereign Hebrew inscriptions. Plated in 24-karat mirror gold with hand-relieved polychrome enamel insets, presented in a custom burgundy-red velvet presentation casket with gold-foil stamped white satin inner lining.
